You must be 17 to learn to drive and have a valid provisional license. You can obtain a license by completing a D1 form from the Post Office and send it to the DVLA with either your passport or birth certificate and a passport-sized photo.

Researchers suggest the average is 45 hours of tuition with 22 hours practice privately to pass. After your first lesson it will be possible to estimate how many lessons you might require. It helps by taking two-hour lessons and keeping up with practice at home when possible.

Lessons are £20 per hour, £40.00 for double lesson (preferred). There is a discount for block bookings ie pay for 10 save £10.00. 24 hours notice required for cancellation if not will have to pay half lesson price.
